Car Top Rentals

If you have a way of safely transporting equipment with your own vehicle and bringing it to your favorite spot, you can pick up at our West Kingston shop. We’ll provide straps and pads if you don’t have them and help you load at pickup and unload when you return. SAME DAY and MULTIDAY rentals are available (by appointment only).

There is no availability for Multiday Rentals with Delivery and Pickup Services or Cartop Services from our West Kingston Location July 22-26. We apologize for the inconvenience. You can arrange for Cartop Rentals and Rentals by the Hour from our Narrow River Outpost in Narragansett during this time period.

Narrow River Kayaks in Narragansett, RI offers Kayak, SUP (Stand-Up Paddleboard) rentals.

The Boats & Boards

Each boat rental includes a paddle and life vest for each paddler (tandems are 2).

SOLO KAYAKS (Sit Inside or Sit on Top)

A recreational kayak for one person; we can add a jump seat for children 50 lbs. or less with some models; wide and stable. 10’-12.5’ in length; sit-on-top and sit-inside models available; solo models available for paddlers up to 350 lbs. or more. Some models have a drop skeg for added stability and improved tracking. Sit-on-top kayaks are comfortable, easy on and easy off, and great for taking a dip and hopping back on. Weight Capacity: SOT 270 lbs. - 300 lbs.; Sit-inside 255-450 lbs.

TANDEM KAYAKS (Sit Inside or Sit on Top)

A recreational kayak for two paddlers; can accommodate a 3rd passenger, human or canine, up to 50 lbs. or less; wide and stable with a large cockpit; 12’-14.5’ in length; sit-on-top and sit-inside models available. Can accommodate a 3rd passenger 50 lbs. or less on a jump seat. Sit-on-top kayaks are comfortable, easy on and easy off, and great for taking a dip and hopping back on. Weight Capacity: SOT 375 lbs. - 490 lbs.; Sit-inside 400-435 lbs.

TOURING KAYAKS

Longer, narrower and less initial stability; these kayaks are faster, higher performing, track better than recreational models and are great for longer trips; size range from 12.5’ – 15’ with a smaller cockpit and tighter fit; comes with a 2 pc. adjustable fiberglass paddle. Some models include a drop skeg for added stability and improved tracking. We do not carry ruddered kayaks at this time.

YOUTH KAYAKS

9’6” and shorter; small, stable and easy to maneuver; some models include a tether or tow rope in case the little one gets tired; great for paddlers ages 10-12 or up to 110 lbs.; children must be accompanied by an adult at all times on the water.

PADDLEBOARDS

Recreational all around stand-up paddle board 10’-11’6” in length; wide and stable; capacity up to 240 lbs. on some models; great for flatwater paddling and surfing small waves.

CANOES

Higher volume, higher occupancy and capacity; 15’8” in length; durable, stable and easy to handle; safely accommodates 2-3 adult paddlers or 2 adult paddlers and up to 2 children 50 lbs. or less on jump seats or cushions. Weight limit 800 lbs.
